Contribute to the needs of the holy ones, exercise hospitality.”
Romans 12:13

Those busy bees donned in navy blue aprons at parish events represent the Hospitality Ministry, whose members serve our Parish by hosting activities and tackling special projects that promote a welcoming atmosphere on both our church properties.

We are inspired by our patron, Saint Martha of Bethany, who entertained Jesus and his disciples with a generous servant’s heart. We are flexible on how to accomplish our mission, but our service is responsive to pastoral needs and typically includes:

  • Coffee And…(after Sunday Masses)
  • Simple Suppers (Lent)
  • Lent Retreat
  • Country Dance
  • Wine & Cheese Summer Social
  • Welcome, Farewell And Memorial Receptions
  • Together We Gather: Cider & Wine Social
  • Advent Retreat
  • Carols & Cookies holiday concert
  • Cookies, Cakes and Bread
  • Fruit Platters
  • Soups and Salads
  • Savory Sandwiches and Charcuterie
  • Seasonal Beverages and Wine
  • New Parishioners
  • Baptism Families
  • Wedding Couples
  • Confirmation Class
  • First Communion Families
  • OCIA Candidates
  • Linens & Table Accessory Purchase & Maintenance
  • Seasonal and Special Event Displays
  • Parish Amenity Evaluation
  • Bulletin Notices & Signage

Anyone who enjoys entertaining, decorating and/or baking is welcome to join the Hospitality Ministry (that includes men, women and teens).  Do you have special talents or access to resources that will help us to create a welcoming atmosphere?  Our only requirement is a desire to serve others.

We hold a general meeting once per month and committees meet occasionally as needed.  We accomplish most business via email.
